DALLAS -- Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com announced today the release of the HAL-EMG-48-2L-LED hazardous location LED light with emergency backup capability and Class 1 Division 2 ratings for Groups A, B, C and D. This LED fixture offers more light than comparable fluorescent fixtures, and includes a battery backup system that will continue light operation in the event of power failure.

The HAL-EMG-48-2L-LED Hazardous Area LED Light Fixture for industrial and commercial lighting applications contains LED tube lamps that produce more light than comparable 60 watt T5HO bulbs. This unit uses less power and operates over twice as long before requiring relamping. An internal battery and recharging system gives this fixture emergency lighting capability and a run time of 90 minutes in the event of power failures. The housing on this unit is constructed of copper free aluminum alloy with an aluminum framed glass door that is secured with four turn latches to protect the LED lamps. This unit can operate on voltages ranging from 120 VAC to 277 VAC, with optional 12-24 VDC versions also available. The LED design offers operators a lighter fixture weight, 50,000 hour lamp life, lower power consumption, excellent resistance to vibration and impacts, and high output and light quality that improves workplace safety and productivity. Additional LED light fixture benefits include reduced maintenance costs from increased lamp life and no need for ballasts which may occasionally fail and require replacing.
